The VMM, City of Ghent, City of Antwerp, City of Bruges, RIVM and Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service invite you to the final conference of the LIFE CityTRAQ project on 18 June 2026.
Following the adoption of the European Water Resilience Strategy, the first Water Resilience Forum on the 8th of December brought together policymakers, scientists, industry leaders, and civil society to chart the path toward a water-resilient EU by 2050.

In May 2025, the European Commission launched the Water Resilience Strategy to restore the water cycle, ensure water security for people and nature, and make the European water sector future-proof and competitive.

Rainwater on our roads is usually discharged immediately (sometimes with delay) into surface or groundwater. With the project Rural Roadwater Rescue, the VMM and its partners are exploring how roads can be transformed into climate-adaptive water hubs.
