LIFE CityTRAQ: together for better local air quality

In the LIFE CityTRAQ project, we are working together with 5 partners on data from traffic monitoring and air quality measurements.

CLANCY: Management of non-native invasive Chinese mitten crabs

The Chinese mitten crab is an invasive exotic species that poses a threat to aquatic biodiversity, affecting the structure of our coastal and inland waters. The CLANCY project increases cross-border capacity to sustain climate-adaptive, biodiverse ecosystems through management of the Chinese mitten crab.

Watercourse management

ClimASed is working on a climate-proof sediment approach in watercourses

Watercourses are of strategic importance, but are increasingly affected by erosion and excess sediment as a result of climate change. This has adverse effects on water quality and storage capacity. With ClimASed, we are looking for climate-resilient solutions for sediment management in our river basins.

Better water and soil management on the coast thanks to Blue Transition

The coastal dune area in Belgium is highly urbanised, resulting in a decline in natural groundwater recharge. Within the European Blue Transition project, we are therefore working with various partners to better equip the North Sea region to cope with the effects of climate change in the future.
